Born in the early morning of a stormy Spring day
in Kiev, Ukraine,
I entered this world as a baby girl. Much to my father's dismay,
by the way,
because he would no longer be able to call me one of the weird boy names
he thought up that day.
Thus, I was named Danaya Khartchenko. I am an Earth-based artist with a taste for the creepy, funny, and/or provocative. I sketch with graphite on paper, then finish and render digitally. Almost all of my pieces are ladies with rather exaggerated features.
But most importantly, I am a bad dancer. Don’t ask me to dance because I might say yes.
